You can help to educate people who you see tossing trash from a vehicle or something falling from an unsecured truck load by reporting the following information online at www.stoplitter.org.
Provide the following information:
The owner of the vehicle will receive a letter from the State of TN informing them that a concern citizen (does not give your name) reported them littering. The letter informs him/her the law that was broken, the cost of the fine if caught by an officer and the harm the litter does to our environment and communities.

SMALL AMOUNTS OF PAINT can be dried up by placing kitty litter in the can to absorb the paint. Allow the paint to DRY then dispose in the regular garbage.
You may also take your paint to the Williamson County Landfill Convenience Center at 5750 Pinewood Road year round (M-F 7:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Sat. - Sun. 7:00 A.M. - 6:00 P.M) for proper disposal.
TIRES, ANTI-FREEZE, MOTOR OIL AND AUTOMOTIVE BATTERIES are also accepted year round at the Williamson County Landfill Convenience Center 790-0742
COMPUTERS AND COMPONENTS, COPIERS, PRINTERS, FAX MACHINES (ALL ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT USED IN OFFICES) MICROWAVES, AND TV'S may be recycled year round at Clean Earth Recycling located at 420 Century Court Mon. - Fri. 7:30AM - 3:30PM Phone 595-0095. There is a fee of $7 to dispose of the monitor of computers and TVs. No fee charged to recycle the other equipment.
PROPANE CYLINDERS/TANKS can be recycled locally through Williamson County Solid Waste Department.
SMOKE DETECTORS should be returned to the manufacturer. Look for the address on the device.
EXPLOSIVES AND AMMUNITION should safely be disposed of by contacting your local police departments.
NEEDLES AND SHARPS should be placed inside a sturdy plastic container with a screw on lid (such as a laundry detergent or fabric softener bottle) and disposed of in your regular garbage. Bend the tip of the needle to prevent puncture.
MEDICINE are either to be taken to an HHW collection (non-scheduled medicines only) or follow the federal guidelines of:

The HHW Contractor is not authorized to accept Schedule I-IV medicines. Controlled medicines should be taken to the local law enforcement department.
(IE. pain control, seizure anxiety and sleep disorder medication)

VOLUNTEER AT THIS EVENT: Volunteers are most useful at taking surveys and reminding participants to stay in their vehicles, directing traffic. We help manage the non-hazardous waste.
