On Saturday, Feb 23rd, around 4:30-5:00, my son, (age 8) and a friend were playing near the neighborhood club house. A guy in a silver, Nissan 350 Z, pulled up, got out of his car, approached my son and asked him if he would help him look for a ‘black bag’ that he lost. My son describes him as young; wearing a yellow/red baseball cap (possibly a USC cap); and, having curly, blonde hair that extended below the cap.
They ran away and told another boy; who told his dad; who called the police. The police came and got the story from the boys. The officer advised that he would report it and have additional patrols in the area for the next couple weeks.
In addition to their encounter, I saw the same car drive past me in Oak Hall while I was out on a run. About 10-15 minutes later, the same car was pulling out of Inglehame Farms as I was returning from my run. This was around 3:30.

I am also told that another neighbor thinks he saw the same car driving around the neighborhood.
I pulled up the car that I recalled seeing and confirmed with my son that it was the same make/model that he saw.
All of this is way too disturbing. Obviously, this guy, for whatever reason, was out cruising neighborhoods. I can only be thankful that the boys had enough sense to run away. It is wake-up call for us all.
Anyone seeing this car should try to get the license plate # and report it to the Brentwood Police.
Thanks,
Inglehame Farms Neighbor
