It is most likely that the final vote for rezoning 9744 Concord Road will take place on June 12. David Williams has been meeting with city officials to try to present our point of view. It is important for all of us to write and call our city commissioners (addresses and phone numbers below). We must also make a show of strength at the commission meeting. I am urging all of you to mark your calendars: Monday, June 12, 7:00 p.m. at 5211 Maryland Way (upstairs in the Commission chambers). Church members tried to pack the meeting last time. If possible, try to get to the meeting by 6:30 in order to get a seat. All adult household members should attend if possible. This is also a good way to expose your older children to the democratic process. If you are having writer's block and want someone to review your letter, please email me. I'll be glad to help. In my former life I taught high school English and Government. It is important that the commissioners hear from all of us.
